OET provides innovative solutions enabling large scale production of OPV panels, using R2R technology on plastics, with tailored sizes and shapes. Specific expertise and secret know-how are deployed for implementation of a fully automated pilot production line for OPVs prototyping that can be scaled for large production. OET technology and methods can produce OPVs with outstanding performance: power >60W/m2, lifetime >10 years.
More specifically, its unique in-line pulsed laser scribing technology can increase the OPV panel active area (after each printing nanolayer creates channels of 25-50μm width), thus doubling panels power and improve the homogeneity and product aesthetics, and avoiding dangerous/toxic chemicals. Also, OET employs its patents in in-line optical metrologies to measure the printed nanolayers thickness, optical properties, surface/device quality, and perform quality control over the entire printed area.
The produced OPV panels can be easily and seamless integrated in challenging architectural designs of buildings as decorative and renewable energy source elements.
Their adaptation in building elements (curtains, retrofitted on windows, laminated in glass), transform them in electricity generators from direct and diffuse sunlight, reducing the buildings carbon footprint.
OET aims to deliver BIOPV products in market combining improved optical transparency >50%, high-aesthetics, low-weight, flexibility and recyclability to be integrated in every architectural and structural element.
OET also targets to increase its production capacity to cover the market need. The penetration in market of BIPVs and its establishment as a key OPV player will be achieved by a strong business and marketing strategy.
Moreover, OET will perform numerous partnerships with architectural firms to establish BIOPVs as an ecofriendly design solution, building and construction companies, real estate investors, and commercial partners to target join projects and production.
