S. Logothetidis about International Nanotech Hub Thessaloniki – Kalimera Ellada

ANT1 Papadakis interview

The International Nanotech Hub, Thessaloniki is a high-tech innovation ecosystem. It serves as a reference point for investment, development, and international collaborations in Nanotechnology and Printed Electronics applications. NHT transforms academic research into commercial products and high-tech services with global impact.

NHT includes, among others, the Center of Excellence COPE-Nano, the companies Organic Electronic Technologies (OET), OPV Installations, BL Nanobiomed and VK NANO.

Organic Electronic Technologies (OET) is leading the creation of the world’s first production plant for 3rd generation photovoltaics. These photovoltaics are semi-transparent, flexible, and lightweight. They can be used in a wide range of applications — for example, in greenhouses — delivering impressive results such as up to 30% increase in production, energy and water savings, and reduced use of cultivable land. They can be integrated into any surface, including building windows, offering unobstructed visibility while blocking harmful UV radiation, creating natural shading, and lowering indoor temperatures during summer.

Beyond its applications and products, the International Nanotech Hub Thessaloniki offers unique opportunities for scientific and business networking by organizing a series of international conferences. The most prominent among them is the International Multi-Conference NANOTEXNOLOGY, which takes place every July in Thessaloniki. It includes multiple conferences, a Summer School, and an Exhibition showcasing high-tech products and applications in Nanotechnology, Organic & Printed Electronics, Nanomedicine, Smart Industry, and more.
