Open Position for a Manufacturing and Process Automation Engineer

Organic Electronic Technologies (OET) is looking for one manufacturing and process automation engineer for fully printed Organic Electronic fabrication by Roll to Roll printing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support on various manufacturing processes and design process for machinery for printed organic electronics (POEs) production
  • Provide technical support and designs on various automations, robotics, AI, and manufacturing activities for POEs production
  • Develop and evaluate automations, programming and production equipment capabilities, new and intelligent product designs, and  tooling,
  • Solid understanding of computer programming and software development,
  • Develop the software which operates the machinery
  • Experimentation, monitors and analyses production performance metrics to ensure that cost and quality targets are maintained
  • Establishes and maintains labor standards through work measurement, work simplification, methods engineering and analysis of statistical data
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through the collection and analysis of performance data
  • Develop, submit and deliver technical information documents and reports, deliverables and implementation research projects and presentations
  • Order tools, robots, automations, parts, services necessary to complete the job and the products of the company

Desired Skills:

  • At least 3 year manufacturing experience in relevant environment
  • Experience in Roll to Roll printing and coating technologies and processes
  • Experience design and/or troubleshooting automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems & perform complex system tests.
  • Familiarity with electrical circuits, pneumatics, solenoids, PLC programming highly beneficial
  • Hands-on mentality, able to organize practical work in efficient and cooperative way
  • Proven flexibility in adapting to working with new technologies
  • Design experiments methodologies, and keeping thorough lab notebook(s)
  • Ability to process, analyze and summarize data sets using various languages, programming, for hardware etc,  also Microsoft Excel or Origin
  • Ability to generate a summary report using Microsoft PowerPoint and present results verbally in a collaborative team environment
  • Execute Action Plan and Initiate Others
  • Proven background in managing well-designed and highly polished deliverables

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing, machinery automation, robotics, polymers, materials, thin films technologies and processing
  • Proven Excellent knowledge in English
  • Proficient in MS office, Excel and PowerPoint
  • BSc in Engineering, Automation (eg., Mechanical, Electrical  or Chemical)
  • Master’s or above degree in Engineering, Automation, Hardware, Robotics, Thin Film Technology,
  • Creative thinking skills,  
  • Detail-oriented personality,  
  • Excellent manual dexterity.

Required Skills

  • Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer, Nanotechnology or with equivalent proven working experience
  • Solid understanding of computer programming and software development,
  • Have fulfilled military obligations – mandatory to male Greek candidates

TEPPIES Project Brokerage Event 2018

Dr. Ria Pechlivani gave a pitch presentation for a project idea regarding the DT-ICT-01-2019 Call for Flexible and Wearable Electronics among Textile ETP members at the brokerage event on 12th Dec. at EURATEX, held in Brussels. Funding & networking opportunities through ongoing EU projects and clustering activities have been build up.

First Conference on Organic & Printed Electronics in Middle East & North Africa

OET will be participating the First Conference on Organic & Printed Electronics in Middle East & North Africa (OPE-MENA) that will be taking place on January 29 – 30, 2019 Grand Hyatt Dubai – UAE.
Dr. Ria Pechlivani will be delivering OET‘s presentation entitled “Customized Flexible And Printed Organic Photovoltaic Panels”, on January 29th at 12:00 AM to 12:30 AM local time.

OET @ Workshop on FPE: Manufacturing and Access to New Technologies for Innovative Products

The EC workshop took place in Brussels on 10th December 2018.
Dr. Ria Pechlivani gave a pitch presentation with the title “Industrial Manufacturing of Flexible and Printed Electronics for Faster Market Entry” with the objective to discuss with key stakeholders and address the sort of actions that can be undertaken at a European level to drive further innovation, including whether and how building up manufacturing capacity can benefit the community. The program consisted of pitch presentations followed by open debates on key topics, the outcome of which will inform future EU work programs and initiatives.

Workshop on Flexible and Printed Electronics – Manufacturing and Access to New Technologies for Innovative Products

OET will attend the workshop on Flexible and Printed Electronics that will focus on ‘Manufacturing and Access to New Technologies for Innovative Products’. The workshop aims to explore how Europe can capitalise on developments made in this domain over recent years. The workshop is organised by the European Commission (DG Connect, Competitive Electronics Industry Unit), and will take place in Brussels on the 10th December 2018.

OET @ ICT 2018: Smart Anything Everywhere


ICT 2018 took place in Vienna on 4-6 December 2018. This research and innovation event focused on the European Union’s priorities concerning the digital transformation of society and industry. It presented an opportunity for the people involved in this transformation to share their experience and vision of Europe in the digital age.
Dr. Ria Pechlivani presented a proposal idea with the title “SECRET” at ICT 2018, featuring networking sessions that presented 2019 topics of the Horizon 2020 work programme.
The proposal idea Smart Textiles and Intelligent Clothing Manufactured with Flexible Organic Electronic Wearables (SECRET) is intended to be submitted by OET on the Horizon 2020 DT-ICT-01-2019 call, Area 3: Flexible and Wearable Electronics.
