“THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT”!

European Commission Vice-President Margaritis Schinas had the opportunity to see first-hand the 3^rd Generation Photovoltaics (OPVs) as well as their applications at the 85^th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF). “This is exactly what we want!”, said the Greek Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis, thoroughly impressed by the pioneering applications of the Greek company OET (Organic Electronic Technologies PC).

The President of OET himself, Prof. Stergios Logothetidis, presented the global innovation of the first hydroponic greenhouse that features energy-autonomy, operates with a hybrid Renewable Energy Sources based on transparent OPV Panels, and produces hydroponic tomatoes.

It is the world’s first energy producing greenhouse that increases the quantity of a hydroponic tomato production while it improves the quality at the same time. It operates with an autonomous energy system with flexible transparent 3rd generation OPVs in combination with wind turbines, something that is implemented for the first time worldwide and can be used in every place and climate of the planet!

“I am just impressed! Your work is amazing!”, said the Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis, while holding one of the printed 3rd generation organic photovoltaics produced in Greece.
The flexible, transparent, extremely light photovoltaics, that are 100% environmentally friendly, have literally hundreds of applications.

At this year’s 85th TIF, outside of booth 10, OET is showcasing its OPV Solar Parking and Charging EV, a parking for autonomous energy production and charge station for Electric Vehicles.
